This is a very interesting match-up despite the fact that both teams are 0-2.  Both of these teams have trouble running the ball, but are good at throwing it.

Look for the Packers to attack the Lions secondary immediately.  Opposing teams have a QB rating of 125.9 against the Lions!  Favre will attack the Lions with Donald Driver (249 yards) and rookie Greg Jennings.  After the Packers establish the passing game, look for Ahman Green to start carrying the football.  The Lions’ run defense has been very good, allowing only 90 yards rushing per game and 3.0 yards per carry.

The Packers have an effective run defense, but the Lions don’t run much so it won’t matter anyhow.  The Lions’ will throw alot of short passes to slow the Packers pass rush.  WR Roy Williams could have a huge game against the Packers’ secondary that hasn’t shown much resistance to the opposition.  Packers’ opponents have completed 66.2% of their passes and have compiled a QB rating of 97.1.

Unlike most, I think this will be a high-scoring game because of the weak pass defenses both teams employ.  Whichever QB plays better…Brett Favre or Jon Kitna….will be the QB on the winning team in this football game.
