Packers’ defense leads way to 9-7 victory over the Vikings
The Packers played a great defensive game and that’s certainly why they won this football game. DE Aaron Kampman was virtually unstoppable against the Vikings. He rolled up 7 tackles and sacked rookie QB Tavaris Jackson 3 times. The Packers held the Vikings to 77 yards rushing on 22 carries (3.5 ypc). The Vikings completed 10 of 20 passes for 27 net yards passing!!!!!!!!
Brett Favre didn’t have his best game, but he made some big plays when they were needed to help the Packers win this game. Favre completed 26 of 50 passes for 285 yards and 2 INTs. Ahman Green had a rough night with 18 carries for 42 yards (2.3 ypc) and he caught 4 passes for 27 yards. Donald Driver had another good night with 9 catches for 99 yards. Ruvell Martin pitched in with a solid 3 receptions for 69 yards. Bubba Franks even caught 5 passes for 43 yards.
The Packers improved to 7-8 on this season and have kept their slim playoff hopes alive.
