Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears
The Green Bay Packers have won 3 games in a row and still have a chance to make the playoffs if things break their way over the weekend. The Bears have homefield advantage all wrapped up and will try to get through this game injury free.
The Packers will likely come out running the ball with Ahman Green (988 yards rushing) against a Bears defense that is allowing 99.5 yards rushing and 4.1 yards per carry so far this season. If the Packers are successful running the ball it will make things much easier for Brett Favre when he drops back to throw the ball. Favre has been in a little slump lately, but Donald Driver (89 rec, 1,272 yards receiving) still has gotten his yards.Â
The Bears will likely only use their starters in the first half. Thomas Jones (1,183 yards rushing) and Cedric Benson (538 yards rushing) should both have decent games while they are in the game as the Packers have allowed 112.7 yards rushing per game and 4.1 yards per carry. Adrian Peterson will probably get the bulk of the second half carries and he’s a decent running back. Rex Grossman should have a decent half of football in him as long as the Bears keep DE Aaron Kampman (15.5 sacks) away from him. Brian Griese will probably play the second half as the Bears try to work the rust of him in case he’s needed in the playoffs.
The Bears have better players, but they might not really be in this game mentally….so don’t be surprised if the Packers win this football game.
