The Green Bay Packers thump the Bears 26-7

The Packers played a complete game in thrashing the Bears last night.  Brett Favre had a solid game as he completed 21 of 42 passes for 285 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.  Ahman Green had a decent game with 22 carries for 71 yards (3.2 ypc) and he caught 4 passes for 39 yards.  Vernand Morency carried the ball 9 times for 37 yards (4.1 ypc).  Ruvell Martin had his best game as a pro with 7 grabs for 118 yards.  Carlyle Holiday also had his best game of his career with 5 catches for 87 yards.  Donald Driver pitched in with 3 catches for 23 yards and a TD.

The defense played great for the Packers last night.  Safety Nick Collins was all over the place as he made 6 tackles, 3 passes defensed and 2 INT (one of which was returned 55 yards for a TD).  CB Patrick Dendy also returned an interception for a TD (30-yarder).  The Bears did run well against the Packers with 24 carries for 135 yards (5.6 ypc).  The Bears only completed 8 of 28 passes for 181 net yards passing.
