The Green Bay Packers re-sign TE Tory Humphrey

Tory Humphrey is a player that the Packers like.  He has never caught a pass in a regular season game but that could change this season as they need someone to replace the departed David Martin and Humphrey might be the guy.  He played in 7 games last season and he made 4 tackles.

The Green Bay Packers re-sign running back Noah Herron

The Packers had to re-sign Noah Herron after they let Ahman Green walk away as a free agent.  Herron played in all 16 games last season for the Packers and he carried the ball 37 times for 150 yards (4.1 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He also caught 29 passes for 211 yards (7.3 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  Herron will probably focus on offense unless the Packers bring in another running back in free agency or the draft.  Herron also returned 8 kickoffs for 143 yards (17.9 avg).

Does anyone think that what our defense needs is a Safety who

makes the opponent fear the middle?  I want someone who can nail

the other team to the turf!  Take that you fancy pants wannabe

wide recievers!  And further take that you chicken-**** teams who

do nothing but rink and dink!

William Henderson gave the Packers a lot of seasons of good work but they feel that he started to slip last season so they released him on Wednesday.  Henderson played in 14 games (9 starts) for the Packers last season and he caught 12 passes for 62 yards (5.2 avg).  Over his career, Henderson has played in 188 games (112 starts) and he carried the ball 123 times for 426 yards (3.5 ypc) with 5 TD runs.  He also caught 320 passes for 2,409 yards (7.5 avg) with 14 TD grabs.  Henderson is gone but not forgotten.
