7. (243) Clark Harris, TE
The Packers decided to take a chance on Harris in the 7th round which is right about where most of the experts expected him to come off of the board. He’s a big guy at 6′5″, 257 pounds but he’s soft for his size and doesn’t seem to interested in run blocking despite his size. He has been a good receiver in college but he’s slow (4.9 40) and it’s questionable how often he will be able to get open. At Rutgers, Harris played in 48 games (36 starts) and he caught 143 passes for 2,015 yards (14.1 avg) with 11 TD grabs. Harris also is a good long snapper which could be the real reason why the Packers drafted him.
