The Packers have released linebacker Abdul Hodge despite his strong showing in the preseason.  Hodge played in all 4 preseason games for the Packers and he made 15 tackles and defensed 1 pass.  Still, the Packers were not happy with how Hodge played as a rookie last season.  He played in 8 games (1 start) for the Packers last year and he made 10 tackles and defensed 2 passes.  The Packers shouldn’t miss Hodge too much as he had trouble staying healthy.
