Green Bay Packers 48, Detroit Lions 25

The Packers dominated this game in the first and fourth quarters running away with an easy victory over the hapless Lions.  Aaron Rodgers was outstanding once again completing 24 of 38 passes for 328 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 interceptions.  He also carried the ball 4 times for 25 yards (6.3 ypc) against the Lions.  Ryan Grant had a rough time with 20 yards rushing on 15 carries (1.3 ypc) in this game.  Brandon Jackson was very effective for the Packers in this game rushing for 61 yards on 7 carries (8.7 ypc) with a TD run.  WR Greg Jennings led the way in the passing game for the Packers today with 6 grabs for 167 yards (27.8 avg).  Donald Driver was also busy with 7 grabs for 52 yards (7.4 avg) with 1 TD grab.  WRs James Jones and rookie Jordy Nelson each also pitched in with a TD catch.  The Packers finished up with 123 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 38 passes for 324 yards.  The Packers dominated the football possessing it for 35:28 in this game.

The Packers’ Defense made a lot of big plays, especially at the end of the game to seal the Lions’ fate.  Linebacker A.J. Hawk led the way for the Packers’ Defense with 7 tackles and 2 sacks.  CB Charles Woodson had a outstanding game with 2 tackles and 2 interceptions (one was returned 41-yards for a TD).  Safety Nick Collins also had a solid game with 2 tackles and he also returned a interception for a TD (42-yarder).  The Lions finished up with 49 yards rushing on 12 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 45 passes for 262 yards.  This impressive win has improved the Packers to 2-0 on the season.
